Organise Your Business Instagram Content Like a Pro Social Media Specialist

As a social media junkie, I often have a habit of checking Instagram a lot every minute. I know, I know, I should get rid of this bad habit immediately, but then I found something interesting on Instagram before I even closed the app. It’s a professional photographer who focuses his objects on views and sceneries as well as stuff in Japan that represent Japanese culture. His Instagram account is @hiro_510. I mean, the photos themselves are beautiful and breath-taking already and the photographer also knows the right way to use social media for his portfolio. His Instagram posts are neatly arranged and very consistent in terms of colour, theme, layout and schedule. Take a look at his posts below.

You see what I mean, right? Looking at his works really makes me feel as if he took me straight to Japan. It is as if I was already in Japan. Well, he is a pro, so social media is not a problem for him, right? So, what if I told you that you can manage your company’s social media presence on Instagram like a pro? Yes, you can do it like him! Nowadays, many businesses from different kinds of industries have been using social media to boost online presence and increase brand awareness. In fact, businesses generate sales and leads more from social media. Instagram is one of the best social media platforms to promote your business. Aside from that, Instagram continues its mind-blowing rise that now it has reached more than 1 billion monthly and is considered as the fastest growing social network. If you are a business owner or a marketing manager, or someone who works in the marketing field, you should know that presenting your company on social media is the right way to promote your company. Don’t worry about having to be a pro; you can still do it as long as you know the gist of it. Keep reading this article to find out!

Be consistent with colour

I know you might want to change colours so that your posts are filled with omnifarious colours. That’s actually okay, but you should keep your main colour prioritised in every post. Take a look at the example below from a skincare company’s Instagram account called @elieorganics.

Elie Organics is one of the local skincare brands claiming that they use natural ingredients for their products. Their main colour is pink and they keep it that way in their posts. As you can see from the pictures above, they use pink in every post, no matter what the posts are about (showcasing their products, random stuff but flowing posts that still use pink e.g. pink bathroom, and even the motivational quotes are ‘inked’ in pink). Although their followers are not as many as big brands out there, their interaction and engagement with their followers are solid because they are so consistent with their brand.

Be consistent with layout or post arrangements

Being consistent doesn’t always mean colours. The layouts or arrangements of your posts should be clear and expected but in a unique way. Why? That’s because it gives a sense of familiarity among your followers. Take a look at this example below.

There is one thing I can learn from this Instagram account @celebral_mist; the dark theme in their posts is indeed beautiful. Although the account is not popular (I think it’s a personal account), the concept makes dark theme more beautiful with a touch of art and some poems. Every section is consistently placed with real photos and poems with consistent placement just like in the picture above.

Be consistent with post schedule

One of my favourite comic pages on Instagram always posts their newest comic strip at 06:00 PM and never once did I ever see them late when it comes to posting. It might seem to be exaggerating for some people, but the truth is; doing this can actually boost the opportunities to be seen by more people than the usual time. Every country has different prime time, but in my country, 06:00 PM is the time when most people (in more numbers than usual) check their Instagram account. Check your country’s prime time to know the right time to post your content.

Yes, from the points above, you may notice this one thing that every point has in common; being consistent. Managing social media is not only about content, but it is more about being consistent with what you post and your business values.
